  Evaluation Information

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (You can attend anytime between 1pm to 3pm)
Olentangy Braves High School - Athletic Entrance

DO I HAVE TO GO?

Evaluations are required for Coach Pitch, AAA, and Major divisions. Players will need to attend only one evaluation. Tee-Ball players will not be evaluated.

If your child is in a Tee Ball division and would like to get sized for their jersey or try on pants, you are welcome to do so but this is not required.

WHAT IF I HAVEN'T REGISTERED YET?

All players must be registered before they are evaluated. If assistance is needed to register, we will have help available during both evaluation days.

HOW WILL MY PLAYER BE EVALUATED?

Players will be evaluated on running, hitting, pitching, fielding and catching skills.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EQUIPMENT?

A jersey and hat are included with your registration.  Available for additional purchase are baseball pants, a belt/sock combo, and personalized bat bags. We will take orders during both evaluation days and when the jerseys are ready, we will pack each player's order by team and give them to the Team Manager by late April.

 Lindsay's Law...

Lindsay’s Law, Ohio Revised Code 3313.5310, 3707.58 and 3707.59 went into effect in 2017. In accordance with this law, we require all players and volunteers to review the information and return the signature form via the link below.

 Meet the Team Night...

Olentangy Braves H.S. Baseball Coach Ryan Lucas has invited all of the Little League teams, players, and coaches to attend the "Meet the Team" event on Saturday, March 9th from 5:00-6:30pm in the OHS Theatre.  There will be several former Olentangy Braves Little League players on these teams!

Shop Event - March 30 @ Dick's Sporting Goods (Polaris)...

Mark your calendars, on March 30th the entire store will be 20% off!  This is a great day to support our league and get your equipment for this spring season!

 Volunteers Needed...

The entire league is organized and ran exclusively by volunteers.  Each member of the board of directors and every coach has volunteered.  Without volunteers this league will cease to exist.  Please consider being a Team Manager, Coach, Scorekeeper, or even Division Commissioner.  If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

  Common Registration Questions...

IS OR WILL THERE BE AN OLENTANGY BERLIN LITTLE LEAGUE?

No, not currently or in the near future.  The boundary map of our league includes the majority of both Olentangy Berlin and Braves High School Boundaries and there are no rules or requirement to follow school boundaries each time they get redistricted.

WHEN WILL OLENTANGY BRAVES LITTLE LEAGUE NEED TO SPLIT INTO TWO LEAGUES?

All chartered Little Leagues may only have one Major divison.  Also, when a league charters more than 10 teams in its Major division or is required by action of the Charter Committee, it is necessary to form two divisions (usually an American and National Division). Given the current number of teams we have each season in the Major division, we do not see a need to form two divisions or split our league with a separate charter.

THE WEBSITE WON'T LET ME REGISTER FOR THE DIVISION I WANT.  HOW DO I "PLAY UP" OR REGISTER FOR ANOTHER DIVISION?

All division registrations are locked in by the participant's age, so please register under the available division to you upon registration.  If a player has requested and is eligible to move to a different division, their registration will be moved after evaluations.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE SPRING SEASON?
